How long ago did you have the ablation? Could drugs still be in your system?
Mary,
Are these weird feelings likened to vibrations in the head or more like sounds inside the head? Are you on or have you been on Flecainide ? From my own experiences I suspect Flecainide as being the drug that played havoc with the nervous system.
Try your best to distract yourself as being tense will only exacerbate the sensation and also contact your GP for reassurance...
Carol.
I had trouble with dizzy spells and flashing in the eyes after my 2nd ablation if that's any help
Yes, I had terrible headaches. Migraine I think. Flashing in the eyes, never had it before. They told me that it was the effect of the procedure. They settled after approx 2 weeks.
Same here. Flashing lights and headaches for a couple of weeks after ablation
What exactly do the weird feelings feel like?
I get the odd really weird feeling, almost like a 'buzz' in my head for a second - doesn't do anything in particular, it is just odd. I joke that I shouldn't plug myself into the mains, but I do wonder what it's about sometimes, and if it's related to the bisoprolol or warfarin...
I had flashing in my eyes, and phoned the arithmia nurse at the hospital. They checked my meds and the only thing with side affects that affected the eyes was flecainide. They reduced it from 100mg twice a day to 50mg twice a day and that was the end of the flashing in my eyes. Hope you get it sorted.
