Hi folks think I have found a cure for my AF ,I have been putting off buying an Alive core because of the expense but have had a bad few weeks so decided to bite the bullet and get one guess what the day it arrived went back into NSR week later still in NSR should have bought it sooner hahaha hope it lasts
Cure: Hi folks think I have found a... - Atrial Fibrillati...
Cure
ha ha . Fingers crossed. I've got another cure, went for an ablation but my AF disappeared on the table and they couldn't even stimulate it, so no ablation
ILove my Alivecor and wouldn't be without it now. last week when in AF my doc rang me every 3 hours to check readings....if not for the Alivecor would have ended up in A&E x x x
You see it was well worth it!!!!!
Still get those cannot classify readings but I think it's when my HR drops below 50BPM and as my HR is between 45&50 not a lot I can do about it only plus is when in AF HR goes up so it will read
Can someone please tell me what an alivecoris?
Regards
Rich
It's a device for a n iPhone that takes an ECG
Thank you Mazda do they cost a lot?
$150.00 in Australia
They work on other mobiles too such as Samsung. In the UK, you can get them for £75. I found it very easy to set up and useful, though I also get many 'Unreadable' readings. Am just starting to work out what it all means and how it can help me explain the different symptoms I get sensibly to the medics.
I also have a 'Fitbit' to encourage me to walk more, which also has a heart rate and sleep monitor, and an Omron blood pressure monitor.
Just to add that my Fitbit doesn't seem to recognise AF, showing really low heart rate figures when I am having palpitations.
So do you know what the unable to classify message means ,I thought it was because HR was low but had the reading today and HR was over 50 so that theory is not right
Sorry, I don't. Looking on the internet, it seems to be a flaw with the product and they are trying to fix it. Just looking at the readings, they mostly seem to be near AF but not quite. Sorry I can't be more helpful.
What is a Fitbit?
Thanks
Fitbit is a watch-like device that measures your number of steps per day, heart rate, time spent sleeping, and a few other health related things. Info is displayed on the device and also on the web site. I find it useful mainly as a spur to walk more. In the UK different models retail at up to about £100.
Wow that's dearer than my blood pressure monitor. Thank you for that info
Rich
Some BP monitors are quite inaccurate especially for those who are in persistent AF. Only 1 or 2 recommended ones.
im not in af a lot of the time and i only take my blood pressure about once a week.when im in af i dont think any machine would be able to give an accurate reading as its so fast and irregular
I have an A&D medical bp monitor and it picks up any irregular HB but doesn't say what it is
