. . . flying over our house! Even watching such precision flying gets my heart going - what must it be like to fly with them? Can understand why AF is a condition of fighter pilots too.

We've had them fly (unexpectedly) over us at the top of the hill at the back of our farm, it was amazing and very LOUD. Felt as though they were just about 100' above us they were so close.

We are in a designated low fly area her in North Devon and I have seen F15s and Tornados climbing out of the valley over our bungalow. The sound of freedom!

Absolutely awsome - and very loud. They'll be back again tomorrow for the second day of our airshow.

Portrush? We had them fly over Carrickfergus in July, amazing! I think my heart was in my mouth 😉

Yes, Portrush Airshow - we live on Benevenagh overlooking the Foyle and many of the larger planes use Eglinton airport, so we've had some wonderful experiences over the years. The most impressive was an A380 Airbus which did a courtesy mock landing at the tiny airport some years back for the show. Unbelievable!

The Red Arrows did a turn over the mountain on Saturday and I think they were flying in 'lost man formation' - 5 planes in v-formation and 4 in a broken v - enthusiasts can correct me on this.

We were down at the air show watching them too and my husband and I both said that too! Those forces would set me off lol!

I used to live in Cyprus, the Red Arrows would come out every spring for 6 weeks to practice and when perfect and deemed ready to display they are awarded their red flying suits. I would watch them twice a day every day and never tire of it, always a trill.

RAF Akrotiri no doubt. Did you know Dawn French grew up there as her Dad was in RAF stationed in Cyprus.

I got the shock of my life on Gibraltar. We were standing in front of a high wall admiring the view when a Harrier Jump Jet took of from behind it.

May the G Force be with you.

This morning's fun was two Eurofighter Typhoons playing tag above us. NOISY! Lovely clear blue sky with a slight haze about 2500ft and they were blowing it away. Drowned out the sound of our new industrial strength hedge trimmer as we attacked the cottoneaster and berberis which has take over our drive.
