I have just been diagnosed with PAF & already have HFpEF. I’m going to start taking Edoxaban blood thinner & Nebivolol beta blocker. Is there anyone on this combination? Do I need to be monitored at a anticoagulant clinic or not? Still processing it all.

Just Been diagnosed with PAF. Advice please.
Edoxaban needs no monitoring. Nebivolol is a beta blocker to keep you heart rate down during events. Many here take it.
As a newbie I urge you to go to AF Association website and read till you drop as knowledge is power.
Thank you for the info. I will definitely take a look at AF Association. My cardiologist talked about needing to go to a anticoagulant clinic but as you say the Edoxaban doesn’t need any monitoring so will run that past him again.
How do you find the AF Association website Bob? I've just searched and searched.

There used to be a link on the forum page Jean but now I can’t find that either.
Thank you CD, yes the link certainly needs to be on the forum page where it can be easily found.
Top of the page, Home, Posts, Members, About.
Click on "About" and the website is listed.
Agree it should be more visible.
Thank you. I've just found another route. Home, click on afa.org.uk, then Patients and then Atrial Fibrillation. Something simple, with just one click, needs to be on the forum page. I've found it now, but in a few weeks or months I won't remember where it was again.

You can google/bing dr Sanjay Gupta who is a recognised authority on most of our particular medical issues. And with many tips and explanations PAF will become as clear as it could be.You, like all of us here will take comfort from asking anything and having like minded pals to calmly signpost you or share their experiences.
It’s very disorienting to start with but we all do end up living with it rather than ‘being’ us.
Welcome.
Just to clarify, that's Dr Sanjay Gupta of York Cardiology. There are several others, in other fields.
