Just to remind all that the annual conference is on Sunday 4th October at ICC Birmingham. I will be staying overnight Saturday 3th Oct at Hyatt Regency, Bridge Street. just across the road from the ICC and as usual host the Pink Carnation Supper for any member who wishes to attend. This will be in the Restaurant of Hyatt Hotel at a time to be agreed. Wear a Pink Carnation to ID yourself is all you need to do but let me know well in advance if you want to join us.
I have now booked a twin room and as prices are quite high welcome anybody (serial killers and jihadists aside) who would like to share costs and take my spare bed. Form an orderly queue here.
Bob.
PS Regular reminders will be given.

Not sure if I am going this year, but it was both interesting and enjoyable last time and highly recommended.
For your info, last time I stayed at a Premier Inn a few minutes walk away and it was very comfortable once I found it. There are two Premier Inns close by - one is by the canal and I stayed at the other which is a bit further away from the ICC. For a country bumpkin like myself, the walk from the Hyatt through a vibrant and lively area at 11pm on a Saturday night was a jaw droppingly fascinating experience. Generally passers by here wear boots and hiking clothes.
Yes there is a Premier Inn just down the road from Hyatt in Bridge Street.
Night life is "interesting" if you are a young person and the amount of flesh on display amazing but do expect to be aware of the club noise late at night. The loudest thing round my way is the owl and maybe the vixen at least till the dawn chorus.
Dear Bob, I replied - if I remember correctly to a post from Vicki AF Assoc, saying I would like to go and was waiting for a response. Apologies as this is probably a daft question but do I book through AF or book independently? thanks
Sorry Bob, answered my own question should have looked on the website before jumping in with my question. Look forward to meeting you and other members at the conference.
Dear Bob, yes would like to join you for supper. My name is Martine, wanted to change it from Bryonny but seemed I had to set up a new account and I didn't want to do that.
I have booked a twin room too at The Hyatt and would be happy to share with another lady if they would like to share cost - no offense intended in not taking up your offer to share Bob.
I will be there, but as usual clashes with a meeting for me on the Saturday so I will be driving up Sunday morning.
Meet you for breakfast at the Hyatt, I'd love to share a room but you did exclude me under serial killers, or was it jihadists?
Ian
PS back from my travels next Wednesday will be active again by next weekend, I realise Batman needs his Robin, The lone Ranger his Tonto, and Little his "Large".
I've just made a hotel reservation for the Hyatt Regency and booked train tickets! Hope there are still tickets for Sunday where it seems my cardiologist/EP Dr. Boon Lim is speaking.
I'd love to attend the pink carnation dinner Bob.
Looking forward to meeting lots of you ... and hopefully celebrating my still successful third ablation!
