Catchup nowhere I am now if you were wondering about me. I'm still alive and kicking again.

I got out of hospital on the14 April but still with swollen legs and unable to fend for myself. Our family have been wonderful and have looked after my husband and me in turns. This morning I was able to shower and dry myself without help in our new shower that my son fitted . We got a chair lift as the toilets are upstairs .its been invaluable and I'm still using it. I've been on a loop diuretic and also bendroflorizide which has seemed to work all day but has brought the swelling down. I've also shed all the dry skin from my body starting with the legs.

They put me on digoxin, bisoperol, the water tablets, asprins and lactolose. Yesterday the doctor said try not taking the water tablets and see how I am over the weekend. I speak to him on Monday. I've lost 2st and now weigh just over 7st. But I feel much stronger than I was before although I've had a couple of AF attacks and wobbly heart.

Really looking forward to getting out a bit more now it's getting warmer. The heart pills are very constraining but I'll have to live with it. Sorry to have gone on but wanted to let you know. Keep well Teresa.

Thanks for that, Teresa. It's so good to hear from you. Yes, there are a few people who we wonder about.

Glad that there are so many improvements for you and hope your other half is making progress too. Great that you have had all that support. It sounds like you are moving forwards and your doctor is keeping an eye on things. Time to be recouping a little bit of weight with a few treats perhaps, unless you are a tiny person! Some of us might want to lose 2 stone but some of us wouldn't. All the best!

Glad to hear you are on the mend. It's great to hear you have a shower and stairlift, which must be a great help to you. Onwards and upwards. Take care.

Hi Teresa - I'm glad to hear that you are starting to pick up a bit and are feeling stronger. If I were 7st I would look skeletal as I'm tall, so I'm guessing you are a lot shorter than me.

Best wishes and hope you continue to improve.

Thanks to all of you. I'm 5 ft 4ins and used to weigh 9st. I've been eating great meals for a while now but was still losing a little bit of weight. I'll see if not taking the water tablets for two days helps. Teresa
