I've had an episode of AF every day for the past week, despite Bisoprolol. This is worse than beforeI went on it! Any thoughts on this? I'm waiting to see my cardiologist.

Bisoprolol is merely a beta blocker to slow your heart when you are in AF. IT has no affect at all on you having AF. If you wish to try and reduce your events then a rhythm control drug would be needed , or of course ablation. You need to see an EP rather than a plain old cardiologist.

Yes, I know that, Bob. I'm going to tell my cardiologist to refer me to an EP.

It did nothing for me except slooooow me down. EP changed me over to other drugs.

Just a thought- if one has vagal F ( starts at night, on change of position etc) beta blockers and digoxin can make it worse- mention this as you seem to think meds have worsened things

I think you should ask soon- i found 3 studies about this and gave them to the Cardiologist chairing the South East Coast network when we were re working AF pathways. (CCG had asked me to be patient rep) He then included this is the guidance- i e if vagal Af do not use beta blockers and digoxin. He must have thought the studies were valid to do this.
