Blood pressure
That seems really low to me. Worth checking out for sure.
Does it go up with exercise ? If so then don't worry
It is a little low but as Ewcia says, nothing to worry about if you don't have any symptoms. When it drops below 90 systolic, then your internal organs don't work as efficiently but nothing major.
I lived most of my life with an average of 85/50. I became symptomatic at around 75/40 with postural difficulties.
Low BP or hypotension can sometimes be rectified by adding more salt to the diet, maybe a teaspoonful a day, no more. There are also exercises such as crouching and bearing down which can be helpful if you have a sudden drop, which you can always feel. Look at the POTS site for helpful suggestions of how to live with hypotension,
If you go to your GP they will normally tell you how lucky you are to have low BP as it is far less problematic than high BP.
Hi Lulu - Drinking water should help to bring it up a little higher for you if you are concerned.

My blood pressure has been very low and not until a trip to London in January for 3 days made me evaluate how necessarily the pills were.
The Bisoprolol 10mgs was prescribed to me a year based on a cardiologist appointment and heightened BP reading because of a walk up to the 3rd floor of the the hospital an down to the 1st floor. ( I always take the stairs) ECG immediately and disputes my impute that it was going to be elevated,
Sorry back to the present, over the last few weeks reduced and finally finished the bisoprolol and the 86/48 has now hit 113/62 with a pulse of 72
I have also take a holiday from statins but not foolish enough to disrupt the Apixaban twice daily dose.
My appointment for the GP is March 2nd almost a full month from the day I phoned.
Are you using a wrist monitor or a cuff one? My EP said only to use a cuff one. I put some info in post "BP monitoring @ home" however some is not relevant as you are in the US. I have had quite a few readings 100 to 110 / 70 to 79 but never lower than 100/70 (not at same time). Many more times they were in the normal or high range. Again worth checking for sure. Good luck!!
Hi Lulu - I would advise same as Jean here - try drinking more fluids . It is not unusual for my BP to drop below 90/60 ( dropping below either of these figs being the definition of low blood pressure ) but not for a sustained period of time. If you are otherwise OK don't worry unduly . Speak to your GP if you need further reassurance. I am normally told that it is good to be lower!

Hi lulu,
I would say, based on my experience, that it all depends on what your normal average readings were in the first place. Mine were around 136/80 ... mine dropped over a few hours to around 90/50 .... a few hours after that I was in A & E and diagnosed with pAF. Nowadays. I average around 127/75.

Thank everyone of you all extremely helpful
Mine dropped too and it was related to my medications ..After reducing some of the meds under dr.'s supervision blood pressure went back to 120/70 avg .ask you Dr. The slight reduction in meds did the trick for me .Hope this helps .
