Hi

Not posted for a while but often read the posts. Have been listed for a Video Assisted Thorascopic Surgical (VATS) Ablation on the 29th, I was nervous before my 1st PVI Ablation, but think my anxiety levels are about to ratchet up a few knotches in the next few weeks. Has anyone had this proceedure ???

No, have read about it, it's supposed to be a bit more advanced than plain old RF PVI ablation.

Sorry no but have read up on it. You are lucky as there are few practitioners at this early stage. Minimally invasive surgical procedure rather than non surgical like RF ablation.

Hi,

I’m in search of experiences with thorascopic ablation, because I too will perhaps have this kind of ablation, due to the fact that they couldn’t get rid of my arrhythmia through a catheter ablation.

Did you end up to have the thorascopic ablation?

How was it? Are you beter now?

Did you have a long recovery time afterwards?

Did you have a lot of pain or uncomfort due to the operation?

Thank you for reply!
