I am pleased to say that my angiogram on Monday showed only a small, insignificant narrowing of one coronary artery which is 'normal' for my age (63). I had this done as a previous stress test on a treadmill triggered off AF.
The cardiologist reported his findings to me directly after the procedure and said that he would consider the next step and we will discuss in further detail but basically it would mean a 3rd ablation or Amiodarone. I don't relish either to be honest but need to do something. I have a feeling that I will be referred to a different EP at Liverpool this time from what was said. I have just got to rest up and wait now. Froggy x

WEll at least that! NOw get on to attacking the rest, all questions until you can make your own qualified decision... one you can feel reasonably comfortable with... do you want to change EPs? Do if it is your choice, or at least investigate others, an outsider's eye could be refreshing.
Thank you for your replies, as always they are most helpful and reassuring.
I didn't specifically ask for a change in EP but did ask some pointed questions like why was I taken off warfarin and told I no longer had AF only to find that during my stress test 2 weeks later it was there! Was that not something that my EP might have found had he suggested a test to 'try' it out?
The cardiologist that I saw at Warrington wasn't my usual one either as I went through a fast track route because of the chest pains. He was fantastic - listened, knowledgeable and I felt really comfortable with him. Others seemed rushed and seemed not to be as interested. Anyway, this new cardiologist specifically said that this new EP would be the best for me and from what I have heard / read, he could be right.
