Feeling like my body has gone into flight mode....

Feel terrible today, not sure why?

Started yesterday evening, stomach upset feeling irritable and pulse increasing, had a bad nights sleep, kept going to loo to pee. Woke up feeling exhausted and loss of appetite . Pulse 98 usually about 65, it seems to be settling down now as reducing to 75. Lots of buzzing in my left leg too. Does this sound familular to anybody please?

Sounds classic AF especially the Peeing a lot.

Thanks for reply Bob, I used Alivecor this morning when Pulse hit 98 and reading looks like AF. My blood pressure is high too, so will visit GP tonight to be safe

Thanks x

Yes, sounds like AF. Especially the frequent peeing, it's the body's way of eliminating a protein which becomes much higher in the blood during AF. Not sure of the exact process, my GP once tried to explain but he wasn't sure himself I think.

My AF episodes most usually started when I was sleeping and yes, that will all go with the adrenaline rush feeling.

Thanks for replies. Just got back from GP and he confirmed the peeing was a side effect of AF. I showed him readings from Alivecor , which I took during the day today and he said it was sinus with eptopics. My blood pressure was 160/101 so is changing 2.5 Bisoprol to Ramipril 2.5 a day. He did say kidneys are slightly up and blood showing in urine ( kidney infection negative). Checking this again a months time. Really pleased with new GP.

Yep there is so much the doctors don't know/don't tell you re AF. I have to constantly ask myself, am I really worried about something or is it the flight or fight mode making me anxious.

The feeling of flight or fight mode is defo there, but I did not realise about the chemical that is released during AF that makes you pee buckets. When I look back I can now pin point the AF.

It's difficult isn't it, because you feel bad when you're worried. One of the most aggravating things about AF is that constant need to pee... How do you get a good night's sleep? No wonder you can feel exhausted the next day!

I had no idea that the peeing was a sign of the AF. Thank you for this. I had assumed it was because of the Beta Blockers, getting lots of side effects from these & don't know where I will go from here, I find it difficult to get the support with medications from the hospital, even though they have prescribed them.

Keep going back purple, just don't give up :) xx
