AF Trigger?

Has anyone experienced starting an AF attack by lying/sleeping on their left side?

Most 9but not all) of my attacks over last 11 years have started whilst asleep on my left side.

Yes, every night :-) . Till I started my new drugs I could only sleep on my right, or sometimes my back on a good day. Think it's common.

Yes.......definitely....When I was in paroxymsal AF...now i am in Persistent AF I can sleep either way and on my back, but with three pillows

In conversation about this, a friend said that when you are pregnant you are advised you shouldn't sleep on left side, something to do with a main artery on that side.....so if that so it sort of makes sense! Male of female!!!

I automatically sleep on my left side but then the AF shoves me back onto my right. Its like my heart is thumping through my chest. When lying down it is always worse.

I've gone into AFib while sleeping on my left side, right side, stomach and back over the past seven and a half years, but I'm definitely less likely to do so while lying on my right than I am on my left - left side is worst, but stomach and back are not much better, so I always make a point of trying to fall asleep on my right side.
