A valve repair will probably not affect the af, if you have it, but I am sure it would improve your quality of life. It must be needed or it wouldn't have been suggested
I had a Mitrial Valve repair done last July 2013 in Bazaldon by a Mr Birdi very good I am now 100% better only in hospital for 8 days the opp was done by keyhole, Opp on Friday out of bed Sun morning walking drains out on Monday went home on Friday. My consultant did not want my ribs open up again, Had my Aourto valve replaced at Papworth
