apixaban

Are blood tests or liver function tests necessary before and while taking apixaban? Is bruising less than with warfarin? Has anyone suffered other side effects?

Don't know, I take Dabigatron which needs good kidney function so whenever I feel really ill that is the first thing they check but the I only have a scheduled one every year at my healthy heart review. Can understand your question though, think I would want to be reassured that my liver was ok if I was taking spica an.

My consultant says Apixaban is the best of the three new anti-coagulants.

I having been taking it since September and only had one blood test.

I get no bruising.
