Thank you for this most interesting link. The "pacemaker" is described as a "reveal." As such it is a monitor. It does not control the pace/rate. There are also pacemakers that are essentially defibrillators.

I may need a pacemaker so I've become very interested and I'm learning that there are several different gadgets called "pacemakers."

Hi jennydog,I had my pacemaker fit last June as they found my heart missed a beat every so often so mine just kicks in if it misses I,ll find out more next month when i see my EP

Will do ,also had ablation in august feeling a lot better now hope to come off bisoprolol if things carry on as they are
