I don't know when exactly, but ITV Wales have something on about AF tonight - a nice cameraman and journalist came to see me earlier and did an interview (despite me saying my face was better suited to radio). I do hope I got some of the right messages across... Fingers crossed! Didn't want to let my fellow AFers down!
AF on ITV Wales tonight: I don't know... - Atrial Fibrillati...
AF on ITV Wales tonight
Wow!! I'll be watching at 6pm. That really is something to look forward to. Your posts are always good so I hope that they don't edit the footage Inappropriately .
Thanks Jenny! I suspect I'm better in writing than on the telly - just hope I said the right things, I can't remember much!
AF star in the making - 1 fan will be zooming in on IPad!
Mags
Haha, don't think I twinkled much but it will be great to think I have support!
That is fantastic. I will be number 1 fan and am full of admiration already just to think that you are willing to do this nerve wracking thing! Well done in anticipation . By the way, do you live in Wales and if so which part? I am in south Wales and my parents lived in Conway. Xx
Hi Dedeottie,
Dear me, I am a great coward, I'm afraid, I kind of glazed over - just hope I got all the messages across that I wanted to, but of course they will probably cut it back a lot. We live about 17 miles from Conwy, down the valley near Llanrwst
xx
Fantastic Eatsalottie, you're very brave. Hope we can see it outside Wales. How do we do that, any ideas anyone?
Koll
Thanks Koll! I wish, I was quaking in my boots... I hope I didn't burble too much, it's all a blur. I don't know how you can get it, I hope someone does.
Just seen it. You were very good and the whole thing got the stroke risk message across. I do suspect that they probably have enough material for a half hour programme as it was severely edited. I absolutely loved your dogs - what shiney coats!
Aww thanks Jenny and yes, they were trying to fit a half hour programme into a couple of minutes I think, so it was pretty basic but hey ho. Worth a try. The reporter and cameraman loved the dogs too, you can tell! I wasn't sure I'd get a look in
How do I get ITV Wales I'm in the UK
ITV have a playback equivalent to the BBC's iPlayer, though I don't think they keep news items for very long... Worth a look though!
Would you mind telling me how to get it, I have tried with no luck
I'll have a look and see if I can find a way, Christo. I recorded it myself, but I'm not sure how to transfer that on. I know there was a bit on Look North more recently as well which I would have liked to see.
I'm going to log into ITV Player on my PC and hopefully find it, or may have to see on catch up . Worth a try.
Llongyfarchiadau Eatsalottie- keep up the good work (sorry, don`t know how to say that in Welsh) x
Diolch yn fawr Langara! They only used a tiny snippet sadly, but at least they got a bit of the message across... I wish they'd had time for more
I'm sure you'll do really well. Hope to watch the programme tonight on my PC. I love the area where you live, so beautiful! I have spent more holidays than l can count walking that area, always staying near Dolgellau.
We go on holiday to that area too, even though it's only an hour from home it's beautiful... I'm just sorry they didn't use more of the interview! All those great messages, snipped out
This is a link to ITV Wales news, but never used it before so don't know whether it'll work or not:
Well done. Although they could have given you more time, you got the most important point a cross really well. Thanks x
It was a bit frustrating to have so much cut, but that's the news, you get hardly any time. Thanks dedeottie, I have been a bit glum about it but I guess overall it got a bit of a message across. I did hope to get the 'check your pulse' message out but it wasn't to be
A star of forum and screen! Well done on being so brave and it sounds as if you did a really good job.
I'd love to take a bow, and thank you, I wish I had but they used so little of what was said... I wish I'd thought to pack a bunch of important messages into a single, punchy sentence! Definitely not telly star material sadly!
