I'm coming up on one year since my first AF attack. Docs say I was severely dehydrated. Have since changed my life and haven't had another attack. Scared the crap out of me. Anyone else had only one? I am on no meds other than small dose of BP med (Diovan)
This has caused severe anxiety and constant fear of all small feelings.

I do know some individuals who have only had one episode of AF. I hope you are one of them! Back when I was first diagnosed I only had one episode or zero episodes per year for many years. That is a great time to keep your heart as healthy as possible with plenty of aerobic exercise, and make sure you are eating a heart healthy diet. That way, if electrical mischief starts up again, your heart is in its best possible shape otherwise. Also recommend Coenzyme Q 10 supplements which are great for the heart muscle. Maybe some yoga or meditation for for that anxiety will help too! Don't let the fear of AF take away your happy times. Be well!
Ricklong, I'm with SRM and hope that this is a one time thing. But understand that this is how AF starts many times and it can be sometimes years between attacks at first.
I will be praying that you remain in NSR and never have it happen again because after 13+ years of this, I don't want anyone to have it.
If it does rear it's ugly little head again though, please know that we are hear and ready to help and listen.
