Here are a few really good articles They focus on coping or living with AF and also some information about treatments for AF. Watch all of the videos, there is some good info in there.

This page has many links to current articles covering AF from anticoagulants to diagnosis to treatments and is a good place to start when you have a question about AF.

And here is a good video and article comparing meds VS ablation.

Please take notice when she talks about the AV Node and Pacemaker treatment. She says...

"When we've tried everything."

Hope this all helps

Thanks Angela,

Yes I'm really feeling great. It's been 8 weeks since the ablation and 5 weeks now since I've had an attack and I'm off my heart rhythm meds (just ran out and didn't refill). Things are looking very positive for the outcome of this ablation.

Thanks for asking....

Hi Tim,

That's really good news. I hope things continue like this.

Your experience is making me think that I might speak to my EP about having one.

I was referred by my local cardiologist two and a half years ago when I was diagnosed, at that time he advised that as I was 'well' I should just stay on Verapamil. However, he did say that if ever I changed my mind for any reason ( deterioration or tired of being on meds) he would perform an ablation.

I have never had another episode and am very well but now that I am 66 I am starting on Warfarin, so the list of medication is growing. Through you and research I have realised that my AF will not go away and will get worse, so what is the point of waiting for that to happen if the offer is there and it could all be gone?

Keep up the good work Tim you must be so happy!

Angela
