When to take Enzalutamide

I switched from Abi to Enza a few weeks ago. I now get a rush of fatigue about an hour after taking it in the morning. I don’t know if this is related to the Enza. Thinking of taking it in the middle of the night as I did with the Abi. When do you take it and have you had this experience?

I have been on Xtandi 3 years 80 mg seems like 3 days but I take it just before I go to bed along with magnesium. It eats up a lot of muscle mass especially in your legs and arms so it's very important to exercise whenever you can. Actually it's imperative that you exercise. I also get a shot of zolidex in the stomach every 3 months to complete the Xtandi cocktail. As well since I started I now have spinal stynosis. I'm not sure if the Xtandi caused it but it's tough walking very far. Make sure in the morning to take Calcium & B12. When i started, my red blood cell count went way down but B 12 boosted it right bsck up. I hope that gives you a better insight to Enzalutimide

I take my Enzalutamide in the early evening approximately 6 pm.

I had the same… fatigue. I usually took it early afternoon right before taking a nice long nap to recharge. This way it didn’t bother me in doing other stuff as I needed an afternoon nap anyway.

Hello, I take enzalutamide in the evening after eating. This way the side effects are not as bad. Side effects include heavy sweating at night and sleep problems.

My wife's grand nephews and nieces call me " super LOLO Guappo" (Gramps Filippino style). They're so smart and have great eyesight.

Now would you please be kind enough to update your bio. All info is voluntary but will help you and help us too. Thanks!!!

(note; tough being handsome eh?)

dad takes it before sleeping at night. He prefers that to when he was taking it in the morning

I’ve been taking it for about 10 years, I always take it in the evening a couple of hours before bed.

Here is something I learned

In the first three months, Xtandi will come up with many side effects

- Taking in the night is the best thing to do

- Keep Benadryl and Zofran and use them when you have any side effects

- Work with an Oncologist for every small to significant side effects

- Track PSA every 4 weeks.

What SE’s are abated by Benadryl and Zofran?

- Anything related to stomach i take zofran

- body weakness, rash or any body pain, I take Benadryl or Aleve.

So, Benadryl is to us like spinach is to Popeye for muscle weakness? 😜

the fatigue rush happened to me when I switched from Abiraterone to Nubeqa… I take it at 5am in morning with Cialis go to sleep and generally get a morning erection from the boost in BP that accompanies the dose.

When I wake the effects have abated… this is ent on for 3 weeks, then I no longer have the fatigue.

I noted a vast difference to fast-twitch muscles and lost a bit of steam hiking.

In the evening I take does later and effects are minimal.

May be the same for other androgen receptor blockers.

When I started on Xtandi the pharmacist instructed me to take it at bed time so the fatigue would occur while I was sleeping. Did that for the 7 years I was on it.
