Has anyone had Tempus testing to get DNA profile on their cancer? FIL is having this done after running out of treatment options post-Pluvicto with PSAs now rising quickly.
Did the testing lead to any new or effective treatments for you? TIA!

Unfortunately, I had no actionable mutations or micro instabilities. It specifically said that I am not a candidate for Any known clinical trials. Sometimes, more news is just bad news. Btw, Temous covered the whole cost.
Thanks for responding. That's my fear because he's gone through so many and doc says they're no longer working. But your post helps me prepare for that possibility. Wishing you all the best.
Did your insurance not cover the Tempus tests and Tempus just absorbed the cost? I ask because I had aTempus test on blood and tumor tissue and my blue cross insurance doesn’t want to pay for it. The tests are $3400 each so would be great if Tempus covered it. My test also showed no helpful mutations
Scroll down through their page and you'll see a financial assistance link. I don't believe my MO ever sent the claim into my Medicare Advantage provider. tempus.com/patients/oncology/
We had that done, but we also showed no actionable response. It was before major treatments of chemo and radioactive injections, so I'm not sure if it would be different now.
Thank you as well. My hope is that it might show a new combination of drugs. He's been on all of them alone but some of my research is showing new combinations are proving effective. I like the idea of him getting the detailed report. Either way, he'll have clear information which is a gift in the chaos of this disease!
