Our daughter works in the Not for Profit world and says that with the current US tax rulings, there is little incentive for people to give to NPF organizations. Inflation and medication costs have taken their toll on all of our budgets, but communities like Malecare cannot survive without funding.
Think about what we all have been given by this site without a dime out of our pockets. Due to the help here we got a PSMA test totally covered! Think about the new trial information that is shared. Think about the better informed conversations you have with your doctors. Think about the support you give each other.
I see that HealthUnlocked is a social network for health, and Malecare is a cancer survivor support organization. How would the relation between Malecare and this forum be described? HealthUnlocked hosts Malecare?
Malecare started, facilitates, and does everything else to make this community brilliantly helpful. Healthunlocked is just a for-profit platform (like Facebook) that happens to focus on hosting health related nonprofits . If you want to support our community or are grateful for our work, then please donate here: malecare.org/donate
I said it looked like HealthUnlocked was the host of Malecare. You said HealthUnlocked hosted health related nonprofits. I think you are saying that I was correct. It appears that others like me were also unsure of the connection. (And I donated to Malecare on Dec. 8 and Dec. 20)
I'll bet Darryl(or any in the moderation team--see the Contact Us) can explain better than I can! All I know is this particular forum and its members have been with us from the start, so that's where we have directed our dollars.
