Sorry to read about your wife Anita. It sounds like you have picked up the baton well. I'm in the UK, started Xtandi almost 4 and a half years ago. Like you, this has been a lifesaver for me.

Two and a half years on Xtandi for me. PSA gone from 761 to 0.056. Minimal side effects, four times a week to the gym. Have gained muscle mass and feel pretty good. Wonder drug for me as well.

Are you on Xtandi only? What is your gym routine and do you do aerobics also? What type and how much aerobics?

Trying to program or change my existing program because Xtandi maybe coming up at some point.

No, was on degarelix (Firmagon) as well until recently. Switched to Prostap 3 (Lupron equivalent) - unlike degarelix no painful injection site reactions, and injection every 12 weeks instead of four-weekly.

I do 1 hour upper body resistance training Mondays. Wednesdays and Thursdays I do 30 minutes of HIIT training on a Wattbike in an organised class. It's tough but rewarding - HR typically tops out at about 170. Fridays I do one hour of lower body and core resistance training.

I could probably do more, but it's enough to keep me motivated. I feel better and stronger than before my diagnosis.
