Here's another 2 minute iteration of this new way to convey prostate cancer information. I modified the style based on your suggestions. Please share your thoughts on this version, too. FYI: The voice is AI. I wrote the script. Thanks for your help!

How Prostate Cancer Kills
This is just me being a former motion graphic designer.
Where did the on-screen text come from? First thing I notice is: you're using foot marks (') instead of apostrophes (’). Apostrophes curl.
Next thing: some missing punctuation, like commas and periods.
Lastly, weird line breaks. Sometimes the breaks leave one word from the next line floating before the next line is shown.
This is the sort of detail I used to sweat because it makes it more readable and understandable.
I can connect with that, I have Schwannomatosis with benign tumours growing on my nerve canals underneath my skin, recently misdiagnosed as cancerous, which in fact they were not, another little problem to throw into the pot [ps Darryl found my problem with youtube, I need a new laptop🙄]
Darryl, the script is fine. But I find the voice (very young, vocal fry, a couple of glitches) annoying. I think your own voice might be better.
I was expecting a horrifying description of what the last weeks of life might bring.
I liked it, even the voice. Title sounded like it was about the end of life.
Hey Daryl, I think it's the perfect elevator pitch length video. I didn't sweat the small stuff, the voice or the text or anything. Because you managed to cover such a wide range of information in a short time, I'd almost like to see a summary table at the very end, perhaps as a static slide, that would be a takeaway. I guess I'm thinking in bullet points.
For someone who is brand new to this information, that kind of summary could be what they hold close in their pocket as they begin to sort out their own journey.
Kudos to you for producing this and all the other content that you add. It's so valuable.
Informative and easy to understand. Not what I expected from the title.
That is a great 2 minute explanation that is simple enough for anyone to understand but covers an impressive amount of territory
Just a little comment. The absence of a pause after "life threatening" and "In many cases," makes it sound like metastatic prostate cancer is not always life threatening. The punctuation is correct, but the audio conveys a different message.
Good work.
Some spelling errors in the captioning. OK for cancer 101. Leaves a newby hanging at the end with the question, what happens next. The most common question might be "what are my options" and that is very dependent on each case. That's the next several videos. Or possibly the next video is to address a common question fron a newly diagnosed patient is "how long do I have to live?" Tackle those next please and for the love of Mike, slow down the video. Given the intended audience, slow is better.
Nicely done. I especially like pointing out the uniqueness of each diagnosis. Having taken a great deal of medical courses when younger I understand this. Many times I see someone question why a particular treatment is chosen over another. The individual characteristics can lead to this. We also all respond differently and it makes it difficult to understand. Thank you, I see this as helpful to many, especially newly diagnosed.
I think the topic is well covered.
I am bothered by the pace of the AI voice, though. It sounds to me like someone trying to talk as fast as they can and it leads to some words/phrases getting all jammed together.
I worked in audio production for many years so perhaps I am over sensitive to this but I don't see why this couldn't be a 2:30 spot with the tempo slowed down a little. If a doctor spoke this quickly most people would ask them to slow down. Especially for a 101 level topic where the listener may be scared out of their wits with a cancer diagnosis I think a slower pace would be better.
My 2¢
Thank you
I'm 74 now and not too bright, I have bad hearing, my glasses could be updated, I am way tired from a 37.73 mile bicycle ride this morning, my T ≤ 2.5ng/dL, I have pain ALL OVER MY BODY AND ----
I appreciate the clip and enjoyed it -👍👍👍- the extra thumb is because I have no balls since 4/2015
Thumbs up. . . About the voice- not a big deal but what about using a man’s voice for this ‘man’ disease? Like T_Allen said maybe even your voice.
for me it’s kinda like when it comes to breast cancer you’d prefer and expect a woman to be presenting on it over a man and vice versa. But I’m not going to get hung up on that. Just seems appropriate.
I like what you’ve been trying out, putting the information in an audio format like this is great. Like others said, the voice is a bit high. I liked the podcast one you did the other day also. Keep up the great work.
Probably just me. I found the voice fast and not sure this female voice is the one for talking about prostrate cancer.
Liked it overall!
I agree with the comment that it should be slowed down. People can always speed it up if they want to.
