Three years ago I never thought I would still be sailing along .This last year my treatment has remained the same except I changed from a monthly shot of degarelex to a three month shot of lupron I still have a blood draw once a month and thankfully every things remain stable with a psa of .014 for the last year and a half . For you shipmates that don't know me I started this journey with a psa over 1400 and bone scan showing wide spread mets thru out my bones. The point of this yarn is that this been achieved with monthly shot of Degarelex Aberaterone four pills daily with Predisone nothing fancy yet. My prayer for you my shipmates is a bit of smooth sailing

What a delightful - and encouraging - report. I hope you can give the same great update three years from now! All the best…

Hello,

If you can sail in your yard, you can do anything! My hubby is still alive after 24 years since his initial diagnosis. His cancer was surgically removed when they first found it.

And there have been other "events" since then. Not exactly smooth sailing.

He's on Lupron for about three years and the PSA inches up but is remaining below 1.

Most of the time, we forget he once had it.

We are aware that Lupron can stop working.

Bay sailing right now, not blue water.

Good luck to you!

As from my bio. I started 2019 psa 10, had RPS June 2019, salvage radiation 2020, started Lupron shots 3mo. and casodex pills daily. psa has been 0.001 for 3 yr. Stopped both June 25 this year. Will have blood tests every 3mo. and see what psa T and other changes occur. Have had the usual side effects from the ADT combo, not anything dramatic. Have missed the T, really limits any progress developing muscle strength and have weight gain on stomach. Really meed to loose that !! Bruce W

Ahoy! I wish ye fair winds and following seas. I'm also hoping abiraterone keeps the storm clouds away from myself for a while. Cheers
