My head is going to explode...ok, we also have RIPTACs now, I hope they work! Always been a fan of Halan Halda since I was a little kid watching M.A.S.H. (you will understand this "joke" later)

Regulated Induced Proximity Targeting Chimera (RIPTAC) is a groundbreaking new technique to selectively target cancer cells. Proof of concept was obtained in 2023, phase 1 study should be on its way and start by the 1st half of 2025.

HLD-0915, is an orally administered RIPTAC therapeutic with a novel mechanism designed to overcome drug resistance in the treatment of metastatic castration resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC). HLD-0915 simultaneously binds two proteins: the Androgen Receptor (AR) to selectively direct the RIPTAC therapeutic to tumor cells; and an essential cellular protein involved in transcriptional regulation. The resulting trimeric complex results in the abrogation of the essential protein’s function and selective prostate cancer cell death.

Now...let's call it an oral combo therapy. You target a protein expressed by a solid tumor (theoretically any solid tumor) and another (undisclosed) protein essential to its development and you "hold it and kill it". Like you keep it idle and kill it, like...I am waiting for j-o-h-n to complete this sentence!

In vivo and in vitro I am seeing quite impressive data!

Thank you for sharing this fascinating insight and breaking it down! The work on RIPTACs sounds incredibly promising, especially with its potential to overcome drug resistance in mCRPC. Excited to see how this develops 🤞
