On another board I read someone saying they have heard that patients taking Zytiga are more prone to develop neuroendocrine cancer than those taking other therapies.
Is there any truth to this at all ?

This is called treatment-emergent neuroendocrine prostate cancer. All 2nd line hormonal agents increase the risk of this, not just Zytiga.
In spite of this risk you should take your pills. They are very effective against PCa. This t-NEPC can be detected in some CRPC patients.
Ive read that one is most likely, from having had docataxel, but dont remember source.
No truth to it. There is always a risk that your cancer will evolve to less treatable types, and that will occur no matter what you do. But you live longer by taking stronger medicines earlier.
Neuroendocrine is a very specific cell type, but isn't as common as maybe that site, unnamed, would obviously make it seem.
No matter, as Cancer is very devious, it will change over time, especially when challenged and threatened with therapies... It is what cells do, they want to thrive/survive!
