The study was on "inactive men with treatment-naive localized prostate cancer". I assume the same benefits of exercise might apply to those who had treatments and now have metastases.

Yes, exercise is useful to keep muscle mass, improve mood, increase coordination (to avoid falls), contrast osteoporosis and for myokines release, and myokines are a powerful ally!
