I was trying to find studies online which show , as some say , that antagonists like Degarelix are safer than agonists like lupron for the heart but am unable to find any conclusive studies.
does anyone know of any ?

Not a problem unless there are pre-existing heart problems.
The only study I found was some PRONOUNCE trial which was unable to come to any conclusion about one being safer than the other. Do you know of any other studies which show Firmagon may be safer for heart patients ? Dad is not a heart patient yet but we have a very strong family history of heart disease. His dad and brother both passed from it.
My humble experience: I've been 4 years on Triptorelin (agonist) of which the last 1.5 suffering from heart palpitations (waking me up at night) and pressure in my chest. Cardiologist set me on beta blockers and that helped. Three months ago switched to Degarelix and palpitations are gone, no need anymore for beta blockers (which were not helping my fatigue and brain fog). Also the migraines are gone....very happy
They started gradually around the 1.5 year mark. Became a problem at 2.5 years. So far I notice somewhat deeper fatigue (gonna check next week blood values, feels like anemia got a bit worse) and chills/hot flushes got more intense. I'm still evaluating trade offs
