since requiring a catheter about a year ago due to total incontinence ten years after RP and SRT, I’ve been unable to stop leakage around Foley catheter. This has necessitated using multiple depend briefs and guards daily.
so I’m about to try Men’s Freedom condom catheter and wonder if any warriors out there have experience with these catheters? One fear I have is I have a very small member which actually becomes inverted particularly when seated and I wonder if the Freedom cath will stay on? Thanks in advance!

Not to be a naysayer but in my experience, even a generous penis will shed a freedom catheter. There are some really good incontinence briefs available. Don’t spend too much on the freedom catheters until you’ve given them a trial run. Keeping my fingers crossed for you.
My experience with one of those in the hospital was not a good one..
They couldn’t get a foley into me when I had surgery in February, so they gave me a condom catheter.
I woke up to it having come off and leaving me in urine soaked sheets.
I’m a “grower“, so any normal nocturnal growing and shrinking would dislodge it. The nurse had to put back on me several times in icu.
Guys whose penis is firmer non-erect might not a have problem with these things, but from the way you described the your “member” I think These aren’t gonna work out for you.
I wish they worked reliably on me, I don’t have any incontinence problems, but I do have to get up to pee or two times per night And having a catheter, which makes sleep better. 🙂
Yes I worry that my small member would make it difficult for cath to stay on.
The one I read about has a small bag attached to it and the ability to attach a leg bag or night bag to the small bag. Currently the 1 liter leg bag I use is good for a few hours before emptying and the 2 liter night bag is good for the whole night, say 8 hours.
If it weren’t for the leaking around the catheter I could live with my current situation. Maybe I’ll just have to keep living with it. I am 80 yo so “ living with it” won’t be forever. But I’ll probably try it and hope it works. There is no perfect solution.
I have been using condom catheters but under specific conditions and for those the work very well, but needed a bit of "figuring out". I only have my own experience and do not know how this would translate to the needs of others.
I use a condom cath when traveling by car. We live far from town and the distances are great from town to town on a shopping day. I have serve urgency and it is exacerbated by change of position. So every time I stand up getting out of the car I have to pee urgently. With the condom cath I can pee on the ground near the car. This is fine during rainy season and in a low density environment. If everyone peed on the sidewalk it would become a smelly place.
When I do pee out of rainy season I try to pee somewhere that the sprinklers will take care of.
I have what I refer to as my "itty bitty pee pee" there is not much left after radiation and ADT. I bought a fairly small size which has the disadvantage that it is harder to stretch to easily put even a small pee pee into it but it has the advantage that it will stay on more reliably.
I have no idea how well one would stay on overnight? Mine came with both adhesive attachment strips and also rolls of "coban" tape. The adhesive works best but you have to shave your penis and surrounding areas. You do not want to pull off tape stuck on hair.
So yes condom catheters are useful but like most things in life you need to figure out the details.
I do but when I stand up and need to pee immediately (in a parking lot for example) it is not always easy to hide what I am doing. I can just stand there and pee on the ground. Also as I have said I have a really tiny flaccid penis. After years of ADT my penis has shrunk to little boy size. Even taking cialis daily it is just tiny. Together with the fact that I have a bit (nothing extreme) of a pot belly dues to the ADT and need to wear suspenders means that when urgent trying to get the itty bitty pee pee out is a challenge and I often pee on my pants. I was thinking of getting a PA which is another option but might in crease the chance of UTIs which i get often.
We discussed condom catheters and other solutions (I did Self-Catheterization - Clean Intermittent Catheterization - for about a year which worked fine) in this thread:
Amazon sells underwear for men that hold 20 ounces. I’m just not sure how that would work over the course of a day. Women wear something similar and they sell pants for menstrual cycles as well. Might be worth checking it out. Incontinence is a real drag though. I’m sorry you’re suffering.
