We just got a copy of this from the RO. She explained they will treat tumours in his prostate, his right ischium and 2 smaller ones in his pubis with EBRT. Can anyone explain what the text I highlighted in blue means?

In case you cant read the text it says ' physiologic activity more generally throughout head and neck structures' and 'physiologic activity ... intense in the kidneys, proximal small bowel and less intensely throughout the liver and spleen.'
From Googie,
What is physiologic activity in kidneys?
Excretion of wastes: kidneys excrete urea and uric acid into the urine, which are products of metabolism. Reabsorption of vital nutrients, which includes: glucose (at normal plasma level), amino acids, water, sodium, chloride, potassium, magnesium, calcium, bicarbonate and phosphate.
