Hi I lost my dad a year ago but enzalutamide slowed the progression and shrunk the met also alleviating pain. This is taken in tablet form and offered as an alternative to chemotherapy. Hope this might help.

I'm so sorry for your loss 🙏 I'm having the same experience with Enzalutamide (Xtandi). Slows the growth, helps with pain and other cancer related issues. (Year 4 1/2dose)m Thank you for sharing

Thank you for sharing. Boosts my confidence as I'm about to start with Enzalutamide. My PSA is climbing rapidly despite being on Degarelix.

What are your scans saying ? And what were you on before Enza ? If you have no radiographic progression, the rising PSA may be less of a concern.

Last scan shows a reduction in the number of foci (I don't know the proper term), but with large concentrations in a number of places. Much better than last year when the scan showed a black silhouette with a few white areas. I have had radiation then docetaxel which dropped my PSA from 3,900 (yes!) to 0.4. I then went onto degarelix and levels stayed constant for 6 months then suddenly rose. The rise to 21.6 prompted the oncologist to ask for the second scan. I'm generally OK but have more pain than in the past. The oncologist seems quite worried about the rise, hence the inclusion of enzalutamide. I hope that your comment turns out to be true - thank you.

It is worth raising with your MO. My PSA is now at 43 with no radiographic progression in 2+ years, so far. But unlike you I have no bone pain, Zytiga (I assume) stopped the pain when I began it. To raise with the MO. Good luck.

I'm deeply sorry for your loss. Losing a loved one is incredibly difficult. One year ago, I was diagnosed with prostate cancer, and my doctor prescribed me Bdenza 40mg, Enzalutamide brand name medicine.

I'm relieved to hear that enzalutamide helped slow the progression of the cancer.
