If food is medicine?

I’m a 70+ female with a dear buddy who has PCa. Diagnosed in 2017 with Gleason 8/9, PIRADS 5, seminal vesicle invasion, bladder neck and sundry other health issues such as high BP, obesity, alcohol over indulgence, etc. He was 70 then. Now 78. His mother and Aunt had breast cancer. So prostate cancer appeared to me to be genetic in some way..

We researched post Radiation and decided to give up alcohol, to exercise most days and to cease stressful activities. We eat 95% nutritionally healthy diet and travel 6-9 months a year in SE Asia. Bulla chocolate icecream and Lindt chocolate balls are our guilty pleasure. No plans to change.

This year we will be in Norway and Denmark. We cannot quote studies etc. however neither of us can deny how well we are and how great we feel after changing our lifestyle to a healthier one. His cancer lurks however life is rarely guaranteed.

Nothing changes unless we change it. Have a great day everyone.🍀💜

Great to hear! Hubs (almost 78) has a 9 Gleason, 9.6 PSA, and a few bone mets. He is being treated at a Mayo Clinic where we are in winter. If you didnt know he had this you wouldn’t know he had this. We also travel quite a lot, pickleball, weight-lifting, socializing, he sings with a musical group, plays guitar and, knock on wood (I guess there’s a pun for ya), is so far sexually very active. He never drank so that’s a plus. Great shape except for the new Lupron jelly roll. I read this every day trying to get educated on the best way forward but also embrace every day we have.
