and this is the free PDF aboiut 5 changes to make to your eating habits, pretty basic and hard to refute the relevance of the 5 simple suggestions. I am going to make a more serious attempt to eliminate sugar and processed foods.
I lived the keto/low-carb diet for most of my life. It didn't prevent me from getting Stage 4B PCa, so I'm pretty sure it won't help me cure it or slow it down, but that's just my opinion of my own metabolism. I would also suggest that there are plenty of "nutrition as medicine" types that would say many of the things you're encouraged to eat on keto diets cause cancer (red meat, eggs, full fat dairy, etc).
You might find these articles on Seyfried and his method interesting:
Thanks, i was going to throw the cheesecake out Seriously I do want to reduce sugar and overly processed foods. I don't expect it to cure my cancer but I do feel that the food that Americans have been eating for the last 50 years are really horrible and undeniably contribute to health issues. I did think that Dr. Seyfried was going more than a bit too far with his claims. I also did not know that this he started this campaign over 9 years ago. If there were any real evidence one would think that there would be more followers and more publicity. Juicing apples later today and will feel better about drinking the juice now.
I agree diet is important but will not prevent someone from getting pca as they are finding n thinking now it’s caused from parasites 🦠 that may be caused from hormones implemented into meats etc. Ivermectin will kill parasites, virus’ 🦠 and bacteria 🧫. And usually will put a stop to any aggressive cancers immediately. Don’t mess around, try n kill the cancer ♋️ ASAP…
Wow so the soc, including the chemo has not killed it yet… Have you tried amygdalin found in apricot, peach, plum etc seeds along w cbd oil, turmeric and zinc…? How much ivm are u taking, hopefully atleast 19 mg/ day, 4 days a week and your right maybe more if need be… Also hopefully you can get the Pluvicto as it works on about half the people w uptake…
i am taking one ml of 1% solution so with the not completely correct assumption that IV and the inert carrier have a density of 1 then that would be just 10 mg and take it 4 days a week or more if i remember do you think i should double the dose and do you think it would be good to take along with pluvicto?
Yes I would double the dose and ask Dr or research if it will affect Pluvicto efficiency. Also May want to take Olive oil w the ivm as the uptake is as much as 7x
I have Stage 4B. I have been sleeping and feeling much better, since starting Keto/ intermittent fasting, 3 months ago. I have also kicked the everyday drinks to the kerb. I have upcoming RT to a Met in my lung and want to give the treatment the best chance of working.
I eat a whole food plant based diet. Eliminate sugar? No, I eat whole fruits, dried fruits (occasionally), blackstrap molasses (sinful). I did drop alcohol, meat, dairy, processed products, artificial sweeteners, soft drinks. Four plus years ago.
I need irrefutable evidence of the importance of dietary measures to control cancer before I am going to change my eating habits…..living alone on a very limited budget does not incline me toward complex dietary regimens that have little research to back them up……I understand the lure and lore of eating “healthy” but I really can’t afford it and the time it takes doesn’t seem worth it.
i am not making any drastic or expensive changes in fact it probably cost less to eat no red meat, yes fish is expensive but ... also the reduction in sugar is not expensive wither. and intermittent fasting saves a lot of time and some money. maybe no hard and fast proof but no real downside. i am not going to give up everything i like either without proof.
I eat "healthy" but son flew me out to Vegas for the Formula 1 race and have eaten and drank EVERYTHING that is "not to be consumed". Tuff schit. Having fun LIVING
clinical trials on their way…meanwhile take what all good diets have in common: try to eliminate simple sugars, when you grain, get your proteins mainly from vegetables and don’t exaggerate. Clinical trials on fasting, fast mimicking and intermittent fasting are being done and have been done: these diets work to slow down cancer but, more importantly, they seems to amplify the effect of chemotherapy. And help with side effects. Of course if you are not in shape or have other pathologies, it’s better if you are followed by a dietician, otherwise they are safe.
Cancer uses glucose or glutamine. By shutting down your glucose, it will ferment glutamine instead. This the most abundant amino acid in your body and is used everywhere.
So a keto diet alone won't reverse anything. He uses a drug which targets glutomine and they 'pulse' the treatment to stress out the cancer and make it weak. You can't just take the drug as such because of your bodies reliance on glutamine. So maybe this could be used along side another treatment to enhance its effects.
That being said, it's possible that cutting out sugars in your diet may alter the rate at what the cancer utilizes the glutamine over glucose.
A diverse diet of mostly fresh, unprocessed food reasonably low in sugar and simple carbohydrates is good enough for me. Plenty of protein. Occasional indulgences, a few supplements.
I don't look too hard at diet. Not eating too much is more important, and exercise is far more important than any of it.
Yeah, the thing that makes me scratch my head is that carbohydrates that are digestable convert to glucose. The undegistable carbs, being fiber, pass all the way through.
One doesn't have to look far for "alternative cures" for cancer. However, PCA is notorious for sometimes getting better all on its own and the coincidence of some alt treatment or other is then touted as a cure. The Hydra not only never sleeps, but often tricks us with dekes and jukes. Stay vigilant and as I often say, "suck it up buttercup."
Prostate cancer ♋️ does not need sugar and processed food is what’s propelling pca, once pca has formed its main Source is testosterone but it’s not the cause. Matter of fact testosterone actually help prevents Pca and while it’s helpful to have a healthy Mediterranean diet it won’t prevent Pca
