Dear Friends,

Clinical trial search engines suck. Most are primitive and return hit-or-miss results. None consider your specific concerns, leaving you vulnerable to hours of phone calls and form-filling, only to be rejected or to find that the trial is different than what you first thought.

Malecare's mission to provide tailored support for those navigating prostate cancer continues to evolve, and we're thrilled to share that our next endeavor is developing a drawn-from-the-future tool designed to streamline clinical trial searches that meet your specific needs, no matter how quirky.

We need your insights to make this as valuable and easy to use as possible.

What features and benefits would make an ideal clinical trial search tool?

What information is most critical to your decision regarding applying to a clinical trial?

Features Could Include:

Personalized trial matching based on your medical history

Real-time updates on new trials

A supportive virtual assistant to guide you through the search process

Simplified explanations of trial protocols and phases

Benefits Might Encompass:

Empowering you with more control over the search criteria

Reducing the complexity and time spent searching for trials

Providing peace of mind through a reliable and user-friendly platform

Consider replying below with your thoughts on the following:

What features do you wish to see in a clinical trial search tool?

What benefits are most important to you and your loved ones?

Are there any challenges you've faced in finding trials you'd like this tool to overcome?

Your contribution can be as simple as a feature you've dreamed of or an obstacle you want removed. Every suggestion is welcome. Please reply below or send an email to arnold@malecare.org .

This sounds fantastic Darryl. I haven’t searched for any trials for myself yet, so sorry if this is too much of a basic feature request; but I imagine location/country matters for people.

Thank you Darryl for giving us the opportunity to contribute. Two immediate ones for me are:

1. A search for trials by country.

2. A search for trials based on being Hormone Sensitive or Castrate resistance.

Kind regards

Graham

Further to Graham's 1. above - a search for trials by location within a country e.g. the USA.

An ability to put in the treatments you have had and the exclude those trials which you cannot participate in because of those previous treatments.
