hi there. I have experienced the most intense pain ever to my righ thigh eventually spreading to my left leg also.
I’m October 23 Doctors decided to fit a 7 inch titanium rod to the right femur as they believe that will provide support to the cancerous leg.
I continue to have pain from the femur bone area that causes the swellings specifically in the mornings and reduces during the day. (Surgery was done 5 weeks ago to fit the rod)
I am in palliative care right now with Kaiser (they are great) who are considering a drain to see if that reduces the swelling or maybe now a one time only radiation. Again Kaiser are not clear on what to expect.erupt wise.
My question is ‘ who has see this before)? And what it maybe?
DB. Still fighting and kicking.

Not seen this exactly but I have had swollen legs, lower down though, before diagnosis. They were DVTs. It might be prudent to have a D Dimmer test just to be safe although this swelling does look different. Hopefully the medics can get you sorted.
Could it be something with the surgery? That's some crazy swelling going on there brother. Your post caught my eye because I'm having serious pain in my hip and groin and travels down the leg. At this time, comes and goes. No swelling though. This is my 13th year anniversary of being diagnosed so yea, keep kicking . Thomas
Hmmm not sure this'll be much help but I'm under palliative care, had radiotherapy to lower spine and pelvis a week ago for pain relief, which help in those areas, but getting pain in left shin, kept me awake all last night, I'm on Gabapentin for nurve damage to thighs which seems to help with thighs but not shin, i don't have swelling like that, just wondering if yours is nurve damage perhaps from your surgery ?
HI, I had swelling in my right leg after cancer spread to lymph nodes after failed immunotherapy. Initially swelling would go up during day and down if I lay in bed with leg raised. Experienced pain and difficulty walking. Swelling progressed to being continual. Had several ultrasound scans looking for DVT that found nothing amiss. One morning after plane flight, leg swelled up like a sausage. ER in Virginia found 2' long blood clot in femoral vein. They removed clot with Inari procedure and put stents in both legs where veins cross illiac crest and lymph nodes were compressing them. I think initial ultrasounds failed to find problem because they were looking too low on the leg.
Have the doctors tapped the swelling to determine what is inside it? A long needle/syringe should be able to determine what is happening. Possibilities are varied. Hope the answer can be treated quickly.
I’ve been in deep palliative care for 60 months , this past Halloween.
Oncologist says I’m extremely lucky … 3 times during our meet a month a go. Not very reassuring, I can tell you. Yayahahahaya
You might have lots more time left than you think … no one knows for sure my friend. Hang in there and get out , even make yourself , …. Get out of bed / off that couch if you can. You won’t regret it .
