ADT for how long..

Hi, folks. I underwent whole pelvic irradiation 6 months ago - prostatectomy (2019), PT3A, and lodge irradiation (2020), just after gallium PSMA picked two small illiac nodes with PSMA around 2,5, both. My doctor had said I would be given 6 months of ADT back then, but now he just tripled the journey to long 18 months. Does that sound like average for cases like this??

Confused on your paragraphing.

Are you saying you received pelvic radiation 6 months ago, due to finding hot nodes?

Also what is lodge irradiation.

If Im correct on this timeline, why didn't you get another PSMA after latest radiation?

What's your PSA now??

Hi, my PSA decreased from .29 to .02. I just found the answer on a PCF page hère which says: "" Results from the RADAR clinical trial presented at the 2018 ASCO Genitourinary Cancer Symposium indicate that 18 months of ADT could very likely become the new standard of care. The RADAR trial demonstrated that 18 months of androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) is significantly better than 6 months of ADT at staving off prostate cancer progression and mortality in men with locally advanced prostate cancer, in combination with radiation therapy (RT)."" Tks!!

TROG RADAR screened out men with cancerous lymph nodes, like yourself.

The standard of care is 3 years of ADT and 2 years of abiraterone with salvage radiation.

Justt:

I had a total of 2 years. -3 months of ADT +Zytiga+Prednizine, then whole pelvic, then 21 months. If I had to do it over again, I would choose 20 months total. It seemed like, at 20 months, I started having more negative side effects.

What was your PSA when you determined you had recurrence post prostatectomy?

Disregard my earlier question, just read your other posts. Best to you.

I had 18 months ADT and all clear now. Its tough as time goes on but I'm recovering well.
