Prostate Cancer and"Pluvicto".............

Tomorrow, Monday July 31st, I get my first Pluvicto Infusion and NOT knowing what to expect, I am opening the "Flood Gates" for anyone that has started, or finished this me and would be willing to fill me in on the process.

I have not heard enough info on pets (Dogs), so i am boarding her for seven days. After the first infusion, when can i have lunch with my buddies, sitting in a booth is rather close...............and what about my cleaning lady, should she take precautions??

This is enough to get me started, and i do appreciate the input......(Smile)🙂

Sorry I can't contribute on the Pluvicto issue, just to wish you well. But on that photo you posted, if that is a photo of you in your 80's....I want what you have!

I will have my sixth infusion of pluvicto next week at MD Anderson. Each time I am given instructions when I leave as follows:

after an infusion Dec 13 at 10:30 am

Do not start travel before Dec 13 at 12 pm

Sleep alone over six feet from anyone until dec15 at 9:46 am

Stay away from children and pregnant women until Dec 14 at 12 pm

Limit time with children and pregnant women until Dec 14 at 1:59 pm

Stay six feet away from others until dec13 at 12:34

Do not go to school or work before Dec 13 at 12:34 pm.

As you can see the longest restriction is sleeping with spouse and that’s only two days.

I am so sorry to hear this!! My Joe had mild nausea and major fatigue for the first day after each of his 2 infusions. I don’t know that he would have continued, either! That being said, his PSA rose after the first dose, so we sont know if it’s working or not☹️

Did you feel better after a few days? Hoping the side effects got more bearable for you.

My PSA also rose after the first infusion. It was 30ish. 5, and now 42.6. Oncologist said he wasn't concerned. Just needs time to clean up a lot of mess lol

Will be taking a new med, called OLANZapine, 5 mg. The night after 2nd infusion, i will take one at bed time, and follow this pill with one each of the following nights making it a total of 4 pills in four nights. Should take care of the nausea

They don't have specific restrictions for pets. If your worried about them, boarding is a good idea, but I would say only for 2-3 days at the most (same as spouse).
