Gleason 7, diagnosed last november

Hi All,

My father got diagnosed with prostate cancer in November, PSA 245, Gleason 4+3. He was taking triplet therapy, 6 rounds of doxitacel, enzulamite (xandti) and monthly injections. His PSA has been under control, it has been .4 in the last two tests. Few days back, he started experiencing some pain above his abdomen and the doctor adviced for a CT. The CT suggested multiple lesions. None of his previous scans said that. Please let me know if anyone has experienced something similar, or any material to read about it. Thanks

Suggest a PSMA PET scan.

I had a similar PSA (260) at diagnosis. Was Alkaline Phosphatase measured? It would tell if the cancer has spread to the bones. In my case I had a CT scan and an MRI which both showed multiple metastasis to bones but no lymph nodes. I am on triple therapy and so far doing well, PSA ~ 0.04 and feeling OK, except for relatively mild side effects from the Lupron. I have occasional pain in the bones, mostly my back and left shoulder, but not "above the abdomen" as you describe. Best to see a doctor, I think .

His Alkaline Phosphate is also elevated.

Can you share what your ALP level was?

Not sure if you are asking me or Priyamvada91. My ALP was 1172 at diagnosis.

Thanks, yes I was curious about the ALP as my husband's is slightly elevated at 146. I suppose that's considered low.

Normal range is 27-129. So your husbands ALP is higher than normal which is an indication of a metastatic PC.

Yes, but it's been the same since 2016. Bone scan in 2021 was neg.

Hi, so the Fnac came back positive. While his PSA remains low, it has managed to metastasis to the liver. He's been shifted to arberatrone/zytiga. What does this mean and what else can be do/consider ?
