RT, keep thy bladder full.

OK

Middle of week 5 just finished 22 of 33.

Having a hard time holding my bladder back for RT.

I have no prostate, its just the bladder is telling me to go, but Im not completely full.

So I put up with the urgency, and luckily there's a bathroom off the treatment room.

No draining issue!! RT has made it uncomfortable to keep full.

What has been given for this same situation. Not sure asking for Flomax is correct, as I said I have no prostate nor flow issues.

I am on 38 of 44. It's not easy near the ending. I am trying the water closer to appointment time. I start 45 minutes before. I have been drinking 40 Oz. Now I cut to 30. They say 24 Oz but complain it's not enough later. I walked in a few times and they were cleaning the table so your not the only one having a hard time. Tech said they expect it.

Yeah I was starting water 3 hours prior, emptying myself as often as needed util the 45 minute mark. Now as you, I dont start water early.

The worse part is the new person before me needs help on and off the table, and always runs late.

My spot is 11:45 people, not 12:02!!! The Halcyon VMAT room is booked every 15 minutes.

My spot is 10:50. I have waited 25 minutes over. My eyes were crossed and my legs clamped. I got through it. 30 mile drive each way. I am not coming back in the afternoon to wait again. Almost there ! 4 to go.

My bladder was abused by years of BPH. When they recommended this type of radiation requiring a super-charged bladder I chose a different treatment option.

Beam-team techs only need it full for a few minutes. I tried to time fullness accordingly but it was definitely touch-and-go the last week of daily RT sessions, especially if they started late. If I was too empty they swapped my slot while I drank a couple glasses of water. Rinse and repeat, so to speak. One or two times I peed a little and the techs still let me in.

Ibuprofen may help -- my RO recommended it at a fairly high strength the last 2 weeks of RT.
