I have swollen breasts (gynecomastia) and now I am having pains at my left breast.
In December 2016, I was diagnosed of prostate Cancer. From the onset, I did chemo by Taxo drug for 6 cycles. At the same time I was still taking Xtandi 120 mg every day. My PSA dropped from 117 to 5. The side effects were hair loss, and general fatigue. Right now I am on Lupron every 4 months, Xgiva every 4 months, Xtandi 120 mg every day. My PSA has come down to 0.09. My PSA has been like this for over three years.
Can anyone inform me on how I could treat this breast tenderness and pain.
Thank you.

I just finished radiation to the breasts, today was my last day of 5. However, it has better odds of success if administered prior to starting ADT. It may still be an option for you but you would need to speak to a Radiation Oncologist. My MO said Tamoxifen might add to HT SE's and thought radiation was a better option. TA prefers Tamoxifen which for the lower overall risk factor which I agree a drug should have. So far no problem for me but ask me again in 2 weeks.
I know radiation works better prophylacticly and I am pretty sure they both do. I am pretty sure mine moobs grew last time and less sure they have grown this time yet so hoping I got them done early enough. My RO stressed the bigger issue is the pain which I am sure I would agree with if I had it. I didn't the first time and hope I don't this time but I don't see me getting off ADT ever now so decided I would do it.
As far as Xtandi it's easier to take than zytiga because there‘s nonrestructuons. I may start taking it later in the day instead of early if my brain fog doesn't get better.
Simple. Just tell the masseuse you know me and I guarantee you'll get a happy beginning and an a happy ending... P.s. She'll also throw in a couple of free DREs...
I am no expert by any stretch of the imagination but here is my experience. My RO placed me on Casodex prior to a Lupron shot and gave me Tamoxifen as a precaution for breast issues when I asked about potential breast enlargement. I started that with the Casodex. The Casodex was to combat the spike in testosterone when starting the Lupron.
Funny comment from the RO when I inquired about radiation to the breasts her response made me willingly accept the pill. She told me she had only done that treatment once when she was a resident and that the 20 mg of Tamoxifen would do just fine.
I developed pain in my breasts and in my testicles (when washing them in the shower). I can't recall how many tears the pain lasted but it eventually went awaw.
