I will likely need to try pluvicto at some point. It is appalling to think that a private company is willing to manipulate supply of the treatment when much of the research was funded publicly.

I think they are trying to increase the supply, not reduce it. They just got FDA approval to manufacture in NJ and they're trying to manufacture in Indiana. The trial was sponsored by Novartis.
My apologies for incomplete knowledge of Novartis’ contribution and my knee-jerk reaction. However, Lu177 treatment was available in other countries prior to FDA approval. Does Novartis get to take credit for all of that too?
I'm not sure what you mean by "take credit." Novartis sponsored the VISION trial. (actually Endocyte, a company that Novartis acquired). Based on that, the FDA granted Novartis approval to market Pluvicto in the US, which is a huge market compared to the small use in foreign countries prior to approval in the US. Based on FDA approval, many foreign countries also allowed Pluvicto.
i was in one of the trials. Novartis paid for it all
Big Pharma is about the money first.Big Pharma does not care about people.
Prices are set at whatever the market will bear.
Your correct that most research is paid for our US Tax dollars.
