Check Up Today... ALL STILL GOOD!!!

Husband had 90 day check, since starting T replacement therapy. He's 4 injections in and ALL levels are good/solid, T level up to 300, from 148. Energy levels are WAY up, brain fog lifting, memory has improved and weight loss now showing progress!! Thank You Dr. Nicholas Vogelzang for your knowledge, guidance and tenacity... You HAVE saved my husband ❤

Keep us posted on his PSA levels and T.

PSA remains at 0.02

Thats really encouraging. If the PSA is still down, its not grabbing at the T. Maybe its dead and gone.

Glad to read that BOTH OF YOU are happy with results. ;0) Keep a watchful vigil as time progresses.

I had castration instead of ADT to start my GL10 treatment and never suffered with the issues so many have when using drugs. My Dr. had me start "T" injections 1 month after cryoablation was done and have been on it for 5+ years with NO major noticeable reactions following injection even though "T" shoots to 1,600ng/dL.

ENJOY THE NEW HIM and GOOD LUCK

Thats really encouraging!!! 😍😍 Your husband has an aromatase blocker or a dht blocker with the T?

Saydeebugz profile image

So glad to see this.

May I ask how this began? Did he had ADT and the T didn't recover naturally?

Saydeebugz profile image
Saydeebugz in reply to Horse12888

He was in treatment for 18 months (Lupron, Zytiga, Jevtana, Radium 223). T was at 0, Dr asked that we give his body 6mos to see what levels could be recovered naturally. We gave it 14mos and it only came back to 148 and stalled there.

Makes sense to me. I would have had T replacement in a heartbeat if my T hadn't recovered naturally.

Hubby did want it from jump street but Dr convinced him to wait...

And during those 14 months he was without treatment? Didn't he develop his PCa? 🙏

Saydeebugz profile image
Saydeebugz in reply to Rilu

During the 14mos he remained (and still remains) in "remission". His PSA has remained at 0.02-0.03. He maintained the same PSA level throughout his 18mos of treatment, the 0.02 was achieved after his first Lupron shot.

Probably wise. There is no doctor on Earth, nor any words in the English language that could have talked me out of it, had it been required.

Well when his Dr spun around in his chair and asked "if you want to stare the devil in the face, I will give you an injection today...", hubby chose to wait to see what would happen naturally. After 14mos hubby decided he wanted the T therapy regardless, he was done being tired, bitchy, overweight etc...

There is a large and growing school of thought that suggests that TRT is safe. If you want to Google "abraham morgentaler," you can lean more. I couldn't have cared less if it safe; I refused to go on living that way.
