I do an hour of rowing each morning, at the maximum setting for the last 15 minutes. Hikes are also incorporated into the regime, 3 to 6 miles. My QOL is much improved.
In just these few comments: Rowing, lifting, biking and hiking. Friends have sometimes asked me what exercise I think they should do. My answer, do what you’re willing to do. I hate swimming so I don’t swim. Some dislike cycling, some despise running. What we DO like is the solution. If nothing else that which we dislike the least lol.
That said, as old guys with or without ADT we should be doing at least some lifting. Strength loss becomes dramatic late in life in the best of circumstances, and strength is a supremely dominant metric in both quantity and quality of life.
Also! The most useless exercise of all is talking about what we USED to do.
