When I write this to a dear friend, I think he understands what I mean. To keep fighting to win the battle where he is now. The soul heals and sometimes science can destroy the dark diseases within us. The contrast between healing and curing may not be easy to grasp but easy enough to experience, But---------and this is controversial and open to question----------. Can the light and energy of the soul help in the cure, and not just the healing? Can balance of the soul (mind body spirit) effect the cells of the body?

My Mind , body , and soul … all must be addressed by me in my quest to live with APC . Free the mind , the rest will follow . The flesh is weak . Mod med goes only so far … We find this out rapidly with treatments . Philosophy prepares one to accept death . Every living being shall perish from this earth ! What happens to the soul ? Personally , I believe that the soul moves up and out of here . Do good , and be good to others .. this enlightens the soul .. living each day with love of life paves a smooth departure into the twilight . We all have bad days or years … A clean conscious with few regrets of remorse frees the soul … I prefer to be optimistic for an afterlife instead of thinking “ This is it”! I have had no pc seen in me for 7 yrs now .If I’m here long enough? APC will return for its dinner .. Now , I’m here praying for others ! Mom taught me to pray at five years old . I have never stopped . This is my strength . God’s will be done ! I am at peace with my maker .. Jesus Christ offers mercy and forgiveness to all that accept his truth . Love is all that matters . Several years ago Three teens in Iran made a short tic tok video of them dancing to “ Happy” . There were imprisoned . No dancing or songs permitted . “ Good day “ by the happy roots. And “ Dont worry be happy” video w/ Robin Williams are my go to happiness installers when I need it . Poor Robin , put on a happy face for the public . How often was this the case for our comedic geniuses ? 💔😔

I’m a nutritionist and trying to help my husband with his health issues (pc) I give him the supplements I have learned about but I believe a cancer survivor would know more. Dear caring friend , I’ve done so much out of the box , so far from standard of care that it’s hard to list it all here . No one believes me . I’ve been reading this cite for over six years now . I found it after I was clear two years . We can control what we put in . Garbage in garbage out . Cutting all the bad I feel made the difference in me . It wasn’t easy for a foodie guy on the sad diet since childhood . Now , I can’t see it any other way . I m not smart enough on my own to make my own plan . I trusted in Dr . Uzick completely .. a plant based no processed food diet is it for me . Now I cheat a little little but get right back on it afterwards . This cite doesn’t promote diet or nutrition . Neither does mod med . Men think animal proteins feed the muscles . In part true . But Uzick explained to me that animal proteins and dairy have absolutely no benifits for cancer recovery in them . All plants have cancer fighting properties contained . Meat and potatoes are death to a guy with APC . 90% here are on this ..
oh my gosh do I agree with you. I posted one yesterday and I miss talking about food that maybe after reading this great reply I might just write again about food but I’m not sure. Everything we need was placed on earth for us to eat and processed food is not. Once in awhile we eat a pineapple pizza but usually don’t eat anything processed

Then You really know as an insider in that field … for pc at least it’s all RT,RP,adt,chemo,whatever happens is collateral damage from treatments isn’t a top priority . Erasing the pc is , Save the host . My theory is that the older a man is when he gets a dx the less likely a dietary change is .Men get Stuck in our ways with each decade past 50. Live to eat , or eat to live . The western med doesn’t promote dietary much for pc . My uro said it doesn’t matter what you eat .. he also said I’d be gone at 36 months tops . I’m glad he was wrong on that one . He was fat . I hope that he has changed?He has got kids . Only my Nat doc gave me hope with pc . I’ve just prayed and believed in everything I’ve done is going to help me . I want to hang out as long as I can if not in brutal pain . So many men here are ..really suffering . White potatoes in particular are pure starch that turns into sugar . Bananas and grapes high sugar . Golden ,red and other purple potatoes are a bit better . .. ?
I only say that based on clinical evidence. Not arguing, just stating what has been studied which I tend to go with. Other cancers maybe have issues with sugar, not prostate. . I hope your naturopath helps you
Too many here don’t want to believe it. They’ve bought into the snake oil of food-cures-cancer gurus trying to sell them a book.

Slim, thanks for your posts...bananas and grapes, do they react the same on the Glycemic scale or index as processed sugar does in your body, or is it a bit different. Thank you for your helpful comments!

A good Attitude towards life is one of the few things we have 100% control of. A Great attitude can only help and will never hurt our battle with PC. Carry on.
We turned every word around. We would never say he has cancer. The most if we said anything is, he was diagnosed with cancer. With an aggressive pc not knowing he'd live for a year- we accomplished a LOT in 14 years. Sure I wish he was one that it never spread. We integrated everything. We also turned everything around. Lupron we wished good wishes to for it to do its job. We did not think death. Although, this part comes in it's own time and stage.
Food was important. We did many things. Heck, food is important whether there's a good strong immune system or not. I'm just getting over bronchitis and acute laryngitis and if I take just one sip of coke I'm coughing.
We walked away from the negativity. Chose our doctors carefully. I dropped all real shoulds, I came away feeling that one needs to follow what you believe is true for you, and go with it.
There can be flexibility. Conventional saved my husband's life, but then we could back away as we did good things for his body, and used things that also caused apoptosis. Our docs got to the point where they left us alone because we were doing something right. Everything and everyone was our ally.

I’m so happy to see that what you’re saying and doing is working for you. I for one try to get pc patients and their families to day “ I am living cancer “ instead of anything else
I have similar thoughts in the other things you said. I have been posting WORDS AND THOUGHTS in ways to think positive thoughts because I believe , and I’m probably too positive, the body goes where the mind tells it
I myself practice meditation and it helps me. Again no proof it just seems to help
I used to give meditation classes years ago and perhaps I should again. It might help me make a flight to see my grandkids alone lol💜
No matter what happens, remembering what goes along with meditation, what meditation IS, is, BEING in the moment. This is where 'life is lived'. The best to you.
It is worth remember that most men with prostate cancer die from something else. And that something else is often cardio-vascular disease. So just do what you know and can - exercise with cardio, resistance, and stability/agility mixed together, and "eat healthy" - get rid of processed and packaged foods, protect/feed your gut with healthy fiber, don't "drink sugar" whether natural or not, find a diet that works for you and that you can maintain.
