Ringing ears and plugged feeling

After chemotherapy and 3 Pluvicto injections I am experiencing ear problems. They are clean but they feel like they are water filled. Could be age and hearing loss time but feel something else is going on.

Any of you out there having similar problems?

Tinnitus - a side effect of chemo sometimes. Talk to an ear, nose and throat specialist.

Thank you, definitely tinnitus.

Do you have buzzing in the ears or just ear pressure?

Buzzing in the ear is also called tinnitus and ear pressure may be caused by inflammation of the connection of the ear to the pharynx or you may have liquid in the ears due to inflammation or infection.

Chemo could damage the inner ear

Consider consulting with an ENT doctor.

Buzzing as well as pressure. I notice when I awake this morning there was no pressure and buzzing, but soon after I felt pressure and a foggy buz. Noticed a little very slight pain this morning also. ENT tested and said 30% loss in hearing……why?????

Yep. I've done 5/6 docetaxel cycles and have tinnitus. It is particularly noticable in the morning or if I get very tired. But I rarely notice it during the day. Hadn't made the connection to my treatment until I saw your post.

I have had chemo and 2 infusions of Pluvicto. I’m 77 years old and I use hearing aids. I have not experienced any change in hearing or sensations in my ears. Good luck!

Thank you, thinking I'm due for hearing aids myself.

hi there, I don’t think I am the best one to ask. I wish I had never had chemotherapy. I am itching all over an nothing seems to help. I have an appointment with a dermatologist but not until April.

so sorry to hear about the itching, thank goodness I don’t have that from my first 10 infusions of chemo. I am waiting to get back into my second round of a double dose chemo as soon as my platelet count gets back up within reason.

Tinnitus. A constant ringing or hissing in one or two ears. Nothing can be done for it except to teach (train) your brain to ignore it. I've had it for over 30 years......I got my tin ear from listening to my first wife for 10 years.

p.s. wearing a hearing aid sometime works, and if you're going to buy one, try Costco... and make sure you get the ones that don't require batteries. BTW you can adjust the volume using your Iphone and a free app.

“nothing can be done”

Van Gough cut off one of his ears, a 50% improvement!

Hahahahaha....... You see Van Gogh sent the ear with a note to his girlfriend. "Dear Veronica, this is because of our latest argument...one more like that and I'm outta ear."

thank you for that information, my wife of 43 years didn’t cause my tendinitis, unfortunately, it was 10 infusions of chemo I believe.
