Hi
Sorry about the flurry of posts. I was wondering if anyone could report positive experiences with this drug or indeed the Perseus1 trial in the UK?

Unless you display some rare genomics (MSI-hi/dMMR) or tumor characteristics ( high PD-L1 or TMB), it has proved useless as a monotherapy for PCa. Most recently, found useless in combination with chemotherapy).
My husband is one of the few "lucky" guys who (for no reason known to the doctors), is a super responder. He also had a very rough time with side effects this past year. We nearly lost him.
I'm in the USA, not UK. So far I've had 2 dosings of pembrolizumab as monotherapy. Lutetium was stopped last Oct. after 4 dosings due to inefficacy. Five weeks on olaparib was terminated for inefficacy (PSA rose 158 in those weeks) and bone marrow suppression. (I did have BRCA2 mutations.) Since Feb. 3rd I've been on pembro with only a 12 PSA rise. However, hemoglobin remains under 7, so I anticipate a transfusion later today. MOs seem to feel the low hemoglobin is due to the olaparib but may also indicate that cancer has moved into the bone marrow.
KEYTRUDA® (pembrolizumab) worked for my lung metastases brought on by a melanoma. To me it's a wonder drug but I don't think it's too successful against Pca. Check it out!!!
Good Luck, Good Health and Good Humor.

keytruda worked great for my brother for about 10 months till it didn’t. However, those 10 months were wonderful. He had the mutations that responded well. I suggest you get a blood test to look for mutations. There are a couple of men on here who have responded for years. I have been away from this forum for some time, so I’m not sure if they are still responding Best of luck to you.
