This am drove down to it and dang it's a trek, 2 miles of gravel road, and a really Tiny Lil Rental House. See pix Fortunately I'm scrawny AF( as F word)
Then to Volcano National Park. That was so awesome. Did a hike down to the Crater floor and back.
12/29/22 Aloha, dockam, mahalo for posting after a long day of hiking & driving on the Big Island. Your pics bring up a sense of nostalgia for me. Funny thing, I saw those sulfur blocks 50 years ago as a kid visiting the Big Island. Appreciate your selection of songs sung by Judy Garland, Kenny Chesney & Pharrell Williams which give a lift!
12/29/22 Hello, dockam, in 2021, the entire floor of Halemaumau crater was covered by a lava lake 842 feet deep! Please, what is the mobile phone app that you used to track your hiking path?

good stuff Randy, if you're in Honolulu in the morning, I recommend Nico's Pier 38 for a fresh fish Omelette. Next to Fish Auction house. It won't disappoint.
