Sudden weakness in hands, Difficulty walking

Hey all,

Not posted in a while but I hope everybody is doing as well as can be.

Looking for some advice in regards to my Father.

He was having low dose weekly Docetaxel at home but had to stop treatment due to contracting a chest infection which hospitalised him last Monday. They cleared up the infection and he was discharged Friday just gone.

Peculiarly on the very next day on the Saturday, whilst at home he started to lose the grip strength in his hands, the ability to fully extend his fingers, and walking unaided became impossible.

He has had some persistent shoulder, lower neck pain which first became evident when a nurse pulled the scalp cooling cap on a little too hard.

But we are pondering if the pain is a pinched nerve which is causing this weakness in his extremities?

He was given IV Clarithromycin, a magnesium IV and a unit of blood whilst in hospital.

Has anyone body experienced such symptoms from a bone met? Dad does have extensive bone mets but his PSA was dropping on Docetaxel and bone markers went into normal range. Would a pinched nerve from a met usually cause a sharp / burning intense pain? Because Dad doesn't have that kind of pain with it.

Obviously we have poised all of this to his oncologist and will investigate as a matter of urgency but would be good to hear if anybody has anything to share.

Thank you
