Casadex side effects

I have been on Casadex since April 1, 2021. It causes me to be extremely fatiqued and also causes brain fog and sleepless nights. Has anyone on Casadex had these side effects or other.

Yes! I thought I was the only one waking up with a splitting headache after taking it. I stopped it & sleep well now.

Only on 50 mg right now since april 1, 2021

My husband was at 50 mg. At diagnosis it did work to bring his psa down without anything else from 234 to 90. They began casodex first, this is how we knew it dropped his psa by that much without Lupron. Lupron was then begun and was effective. He was casodex for 8 months, never liked how he felt, but the success outweighed the side effects. At 8 months it was determined that his psa was rising and the doc took him off the casodex. Sure enough his psa went back down- he was at a .01 actually. We had great success. Over the years we tried it maybe 3 different times. Each time the side effects worsened. My husband eyesight was affected along with more fatigue.

It became a drug we decided not to try again. We found with this disease we had to experiment, risk, observe, make choices, switch things up... Just our particular experience.

I found Casodex much easier to tolerate than Lupron I guess we all react differently and need to react accordingly

Husband was on it and experienced agonizing head and neck paiñ, brain fog, memory issues, mood swings and rage so bad I was in fear of him.

I took Casodex for more than 10 years without any side effects. I did a lot of exercises.

While on Lupron plus Casodex 50 mg daily I experienced all those side effects you stated which in part is part of the side effects profile of Lupron inducing castrate levels of testosterone. A vigorous daily exercise program ameliorated most of the adverse events. Additionally I developed Gynecomastia as well. Casodex is a weaker and older AR antagonist but it worked for me for several years

Everyone is different. You can ask your doctor to prescribe you Provigil for fatigue and brain fog; it's worked well for me.

Husband took Casodex 50 mg + tamoxifen 10 mg for 2.5 years with zero side effects except for maybe one mild hot flash per week.
