Reintroducing Lu-177

Will post information about my second round. Had Lu-177 2 years ago and flying back to India tomorrow. PSA 1.6 and climbing rapidly, PSMA shows 8 early bone mets . This is much improved from two years ago. We are going after it much sooner this time because we do have the availability of scans. I am still chemo naive so we will see how I respond. Sen has a protocol that seems very effective so I am keeping with her. Blue Skies , Sky King and Penny (woof)

Thanks for the update! I wondered how you were doing. I love your protocol.

Most people read you because of your intelligence . Sen like Tagawa use a higher mCi than normal protocol . My first three infusions were 340,340,270. 23 bone mets and PSA 18. 12 cores of Gleason 9 for those who do not understand low PSA aggressive disease,. Now PSA is 1.16 but early detection is 8 very small mets. I am redundant but I am chemo naive . We will see how well I do and my blood work is normal...We are in a new paradigm of treatment so reintroduced Lu-177 is fairly new. Michael Hofmann (sp) is now also reintroduced the therapy. For those that ask , Vision Trial you must have chemo...I was not eligible for Splash. I also chose to return for Sen's protocol. My choice, I could have done one infusion of chemo and reported adverse reaction and be placed in the Vision protocol. I decided on Sen...Blue Skies , Sky King and Gracie......

Do you ever check FDG, per Michael Hoffman's protocol?

Care to elaborate on the Chemo Naivety significance?

And also wishing you good luck on the reintroduction.

You can’t get it in the US unless you have had chemo.

I don't think that is what the OP meant... And is why I asked. I appreciate your thoughts, but would prefer the OP to let me know, respond if he cares, to the question.

He posted that he is still chemo naive, so he will see how he responds!

Interesting...

Thanks for update. Where and why are you getting treatment in India?? I thought MD Anderson had this available. Best wishes

will be following your re challenge. Wish you all the best- your story was one that encouraged me to actively persue Lu-177 whilst hormone sensitive. With no regrets.

Keep us updated please

I did not know you could do a series of Lu177 more than once. Im getting my first of 4 injections Thursday. How many times can you do it?

I'm preparing for another LU-177 round as well. Had six treaments at UCLA between Sept last year and March 2022. Looking into how and where next txs could be. Are you getting tx in India? I'm headed there for non-medical reasons next month. (Unless of course, there are medical benefits in a spiritual journey! -- There are....) Keep us posted and thanks! Steve

Good luck.

I had both LU-177 and AC-225 and I wonder if the AC-225 can be re-peated?

What is your protocol? I am also chemo naive and I had 1 treatment of Lu 177 PSMA I&T in 2016. I may have to have other treatment soon.Best of luck with your treatments and keep flying.

I completed 6 infusions with the Trial at Dana Farber. On a side conversation this approach was discussed. Best of Luck. Shall be following with interest.

Does this only work inpatients who are chemo naive? Can anyone link studies please?

I think the palettes need to be at a good level for this treatment but I believe it is available in US for men who have already had chemo. Maybe ask the oncologist if you would be able to get it? But need to get on the list quickly as there is a waiting time.

Its good to know you can use Lu 177 more than once. Its great that you are chemo naive. I read it works better that way. Good luck, it sounds like very good management.

Do you plan on discussing AC225 alone or with LU177??

Hello,

If this is Charlie, a big hello from Canada. We met at the last PCRI conference in Los Angeles that I attended. I think it might have been September, 2019 before the Covid pandemic made air travel problematic. We hung out together in L.A. and talked at length about Germany and Lutetium. We had a lot of fun in along with Shanti from Florida. If this is not Charlie my apologies. If it is you, write back and I'll fill you in on what is happening to me since we last talked. Either way, good luck with your treatment. I have said it before but those of you who seek treatment overseas are trailblazers. This is particularly true of those of you who want to take Lutetium pre-chemotherapy. Good luck!
